The report shows that the platform operates in over 100 countries worldwide, receiving a total of 12,716 information requests throughout the year, representing a year-on-year rise of approximately 19%. However, the overall scale has remained within the range of 10,000 to 13,000 requests over the past four years.
In this request period, about 53% comes from regions outside the United States, an increase of approximately 2% from last year. The United States remains the country with the highest number of information requests, with about 80% of law enforcement requests coming from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Australia.
In terms of changes in major countries, France's request volume increased by 111%, the UK rose by 16%, Spain rose by 27%, and Australia saw a slight increase of 1%; Germany decreased by 5%, Sweden decreased by 31%, and South Korea decreased by 67%. The request volumes in Moldova and Brazil grew approximately 5.7 times and 2.7 times, respectively.
CEX emphasizes that balancing privacy protection and compliance obligations is crucial. The company will continue to respond to overly broad requests through strict review, and as much as possible, with anonymous or aggregated data to maintain customer privacy.
