Ethereum mainnet just hit a milestone — daily transaction volume exceeded 2.2 million, setting a new record. Even more impressive is that the average transaction fee is only 17 cents.

This achievement is highly significant. Looking back to May 2022, Ethereum transaction fees soared to a historic peak of over $200 per transaction. Since then, fees have significantly decreased, demonstrating continuous improvements in network efficiency.

2025 is set to be an upgrade year for Ethereum. In addition to the ongoing Pectra upgrade, there are major upgrades on the roadmap — all aimed at the same goal: further reducing costs and increasing network capacity. As these technological iterations progress, Ethereum’s transaction experience is expected to continue improving.

Whoa, 17 cents? That's way better than the magical moment of $200 in 2022. LOL, back then it was really a blood loss situation.

Wow, 17 cents? That's a world apart from the nightmare of two years ago when it was two hundred dollars. Is there still an upgrade after Pectra? Ethereum really keeps optimizing endlessly, I’m optimistic. 2.2 million transactions a day, this data looks good, but will gas fees continue to drop... Falling from $200 to 17 cents, this change is quite drastic. Ethereum is finally not so painful anymore. Such a strong upgrade, should I get on board? Or wait and see what happens next?

17 cents? Last year it was several dollars. This improvement is truly visible to the naked eye.

17 cents? Oh my god, now that's reasonable. Much better than the nightmare of $200 two years ago.
