1 月 13 日，俄罗斯库尔斯克市一名 46 岁女性因轻信「加密货币投资高收益」骗局，向诈骗者转账 2800 万卢布（约合 35.74 万美元）。据警方披露，诈骗过程持续约一年，嫌疑人通过通讯软件接近受害者，自称居住在阿拉伯国家，并以投资加密货币及协助移居国外为诱饵，诱导其下载相关应用并不断转账。受害者先后出售三套房产、汽车及金条，并举债「投资」，最终资金耗尽后诈骗者失联。（Bitsmedia）
