According to Nikkei News, Mitsui & Co. plans to launch Japan's first digital security backed by aircraft and ships as underlying assets through its digital securities subsidiary Mitsui & Co. Digital Asset Management. The product is expected to go live as early as the 2026 fiscal year (starting from April). The related product will be targeted at retail investors, supporting fractionalized asset investment, with a minimum subscription amount of approximately 100,000 yen. Investors will be able to share in the leasing income from aircraft or ships.
