AI is reshaping how we think about product architecture. Here's what caught my attention: open source frontends are about to become the default expectation, not the exception.

Consider the competitive dynamic. Take product A with open source architecture versus a closed-source competitor B. Users of A aren't locked into whatever the team decided—they can fork it, modify it, even use AI coding assistants to rebuild entire sections in minutes. They get exactly what they need, tailored to their workflow.

Product B? Users are stuck with what's shipped. No customization layer, no flexibility. In an AI-native world where tools like Claude Code make modification trivial, that constraint becomes a massive disadvantage.

The real insight: accessibility to source code isn't just about transparency anymore. It's about user agency. When people can remix and adapt products at will, closed ecosystems start looking antiquated. They'll have to catch up or watch users migrate to platforms that respect their need for control.

The trend of open-source architecture is indeed unstoppable... Closed-source products are really at a disadvantage now, especially with AI tools being so powerful.

ngl open-source architecture is indeed the trend, but the problem is that most users actually can't modify the code... No matter how powerful tools like Claude are, they can't help those who fundamentally don't understand technology.

Open source is indeed reshaping the competitive landscape, but frankly, the real ROI difference depends on who can convert user stickiness into long-term benefits. The disadvantage of closed-source systems is not transparency, but the loss of opportunities for community mining pools to extract value.

Open source is the future; proprietary products should have died long ago... These days, who still wants to be locked in?

Open source has become inevitable, and closed source days are indeed hard to endure. With just a few lines of code modified using Claude, you can customize the product—who can still accept being locked out?

That closed-source approach is really outdated. Who still uses that method nowadays?
