To make your first 1 million in the crypto world, don't think about achieving it all at once. First, set your target at 1 million; reaching this number is your real ticket to entry—even if you only earn a 20% profit from spot trading, your annual income can double compared to an ordinary job.

After years of navigating the crypto space, I’ve realized that the core of making money is never about chasing tiny daily gains, but about breaking down compound interest into several well-prepared critical hits. The strategy is clear: practice with small positions during normal times to get a feel for the market, and when a genuine signal appears, go all in. Only go long; never short.

So how do you identify signals? I’ve summarized three signs:

First, look at the chart. After a long period of sideways consolidation following a sharp decline, a sudden volume breakout signals the start of a trend reversal—this is the safest.

Second, observe volume and price. When the daily chart breaks above key moving averages with increasing trading volume, market sentiment begins to warm up, and retail investors become more active.

Third, watch for information gaps. If there’s no buzz on trending searches and retail investors are still complaining, the main players have already quietly started building positions.

How exactly to operate? I’ll use a 50,000 USD principal as an example. This 50,000 should ideally be profits recovered from previous gains, not your emergency fund. Use isolated margin mode; your total position should never exceed 10%, and leverage should be kept within 10x—practically about 1x leverage in real trading. Set a 2% stop-loss for safety.

The first additional buy after a breakout is crucial. When the price rises by 10%, use 10% of the new profits to add to your position, maintaining a 2% stop-loss at all times. The guiding principle throughout is: no all-in, no adding to losing positions, no holding against the trend. When the stop-loss is hit, take your profits and wait for the next opportunity.

A main upward wave of 50% can, through compound interest, earn you around 200,000 USD. Catching two such cycles is enough to reach 1 million. To be more realistic, just successfully executing 3 to 4 of these rolling cycles in your lifetime can turn 50,000 into 100,000, then into 1 million, then into 10 million, and then you can consider retirement.

I have four key rules for risk control, especially important:

First, avoid rolling in volatile, sideways, or declining coins, and avoid purely news-driven tokens—these are traps.

Second, even if your principal is wiped out, only the isolated margin is lost; other funds are locked in, so even a liquidation won’t harm your total account.

Third, regularly withdraw 30% of profits during rolling cycles. Realize gains by buying a house or car—don’t let greed swallow your rationality.

Rolling is never about gambling your life; it’s about waiting for the right opportunity. When it comes, act; when it doesn’t, rest. Better to miss an opportunity than to mess up recklessly.

Once you’ve made your first 1 million, you’ll naturally understand position management, emotional control, and cycle patterns. The next step is to keep replicating this successful experience. Opportunities always favor those who are prepared.

The idea of turning 50,000 into 1 million sounds great, but how many actually follow through? Most people still get stuck at their emotions.

It sounds good, but how many people can really hold out until the first million? Most people get liquidated before even receiving the signal.

Listening to it, it feels like a survival guide wrapped in probability theory. Turning 50,000 into 1,000,000 sounds nice, but the reality is quite harsh.

That's true, but luck also plays a role. I made a wrong signal judgment that time and went all-in, and I still haven't recovered from it.
