There’s a difference between consistent profitability and a series of consistently profitable periods.



After 7 years in the markets, I’ve seen many traders go on long winning runs that look like they’ve “made it.” Weeks or even months of green. But that doesn’t always mean the edge is permanent.

Markets evolve. Conditions change. What works today can stop working tomorrow.

True consistency isn’t just about printing profits for a while. It’s about adapting, managing risk, and surviving when the market shifts. If your profitability can’t withstand drawdowns, changing volatility, and bad phases, then it was only a phase… not mastery.

The goal isn’t just to win often. The goal is to last.
