#数字资产市场动态 How much profit is enough to stop? This question hits the hardest in the crypto world and is also the easiest to overlook. $ETH, $FHE, $ZEC… these coins fluctuate every day, but the truth behind the volatility is—most people are not unable to make money, but simply don’t know where to hit the brakes.

In 2019, a friend invested $20,000, and within three months, his account skyrocketed to $300,000. During that time, we kept reminding him every day: “It’s time to take profits.” And what happened? He just said, “I’ll be free soon, I’ll wait until I hit a million.” Six months later, his account was down to just over $10,000, and he didn’t even preserve his principal. Stories like this are common, but I only later realized—I’ve been through similar pitfalls myself.

During the wildest bull market in 2021, my account once reached a high of $1.8 million. Back then, I was staring at the numbers with my eyes glued, with only one thought in my mind: “Double it again and I’ll cash out.” The problem is, the market never follows your script. By the time I realized it, my account was down to $400,000. During that period, I almost couldn’t sleep every night, repeatedly pondering “what if I had withdrawn earlier,” but regret was useless.

That loss taught me a lesson: in crypto, winning or losing isn’t about how high the peak is; it’s about how much you actually take home in the end.

Many talk about financial freedom, but few truly learn to “take profits when the time is right.” Later, I set a strict rule for myself—when the account triples, withdraw half immediately, no bargaining, no excuses. Only then can your mind stay unbound by those numbers, and your account remain more stable.

Someone asked me, how much is enough? Honestly—money is never enough, but human psychological limits are measurable. The key is whether you can proactively turn profits into cash before the market forces you to stop. The first lesson in crypto is: don’t fantasize about a perfect exit at the top; that moment doesn’t exist. Those who walk away smiling at the end are the ones who get off halfway up the mountain voluntarily.

1.8 million, whether to see a high point or be greedy, at 400,000 you probably regret it to death, right? This is the real story of the crypto world.

The drop from 1.8 million to 400,000, I’ve been through that too—it's that pain of declining sleep quality. This wave of articles really hit home; greed is truly the biggest killer in the crypto world.

Really, this is the most heartbreaking topic in the crypto world. I experienced it in 2021 too; that feeling of falling from a peak can really drive people crazy.

That was really harsh. Watching the value drop from 1.8 million to 400,000 made me feel uncomfortable all over. But to be honest, most people can't even triple their investment and then take out half, and I can't either.
