Recently, Interactive Brokers officially launched a 24/7 USDC stablecoin deposit service on the Solana network, which means retail investors can directly transfer USDC on the Solana chain into their IBKR stock accounts, eliminating the traditional fiat deposit and withdrawal steps.
This move is indeed quite sharp. To compare, my MooMoo stock account has supported buying and selling 16 cryptocurrencies within the app for a long time, but honestly, the deposit channels are still old-fashioned—only USD or new coins, and there's no way to directly transfer stablecoins. In comparison, Interactive Brokers' on-chain USDC deposit this time has definitely taken the lead.
In early 2026, the integration speed between traditional brokerages and on-chain finance has noticeably accelerated. Interactive Brokers choosing Solana as the entry point also reflects this blockchain's competitiveness in financial applications. For retail investors wanting to participate in the crypto market, this native on-chain deposit method indeed lowers the entry barrier.
My IBKR account hasn't been used for a while, and I almost forgot the password. I plan to recover the account tonight and log in to see if the Singapore service region has enabled this feature. If it has, it means that the upgrade of on-chain finance by brokerages is really coming.

Interactive Brokers played this hand well, directly overcoming the hurdle of fiat on/off ramps. The Solana chain has really been bet on.

Interactive Brokers really nailed it this time. Direct deposits on the Solana chain make things much easier, and it's N times faster than traditional deposits and withdrawals.
