Traditional decentralized storage has always had a lingering concern—ensuring security and reliability comes at a huge cost. Old-school solutions like Filecoin and Arweave need to replicate data 25 times to achieve a security level of 10^-12. What’s the result? Storage of unstructured large data becomes ridiculously expensive, and data recovery is painfully slow. This is what’s called the "Redundancy Paradox"—a deadlock between security and efficiency.

A new approach breaks this deadlock: using the Sui blockchain as the control layer to manage metadata, while large-scale data storage operates independently. Separating these two tasks actually solves the "cost disaster." How is this achieved? Through Red Stuff—a pioneering 2D erasure coding algorithm.

What makes this technology powerful? With only 4.5 times redundancy, it can provide the same reliability as traditional solutions with 25 times redundancy. Plus, it has two killer features: First, it’s the first protocol to support asynchronous network storage challenges—attackers trying to fake storage proofs via network latency? No chance. Second, its self-healing capability uses O(|blob|/n) logic, completely eliminating the "bandwidth tax" during recovery typical of traditional erasure codes, significantly reducing the burden on storage nodes caused by member changes.

More importantly, this solution is transforming decentralized storage from a cold archive into a high-performance storage system capable of handling hot data. As a result, Web3 applications now have a real new pathway for data storage.

4.5x redundancy can support 25x? That's a bit unbelievable. Is this really such cutting-edge technology?

Based on historical data, the resolution of the redundancy paradox often indicates that the track is about to experience a cyclical rebound... But honestly, can a 4.5x redundancy truly withstand the test of actual network environments? That's the key.

25x redundancy is really outrageous; 4.5x can handle security, which is indeed impressive.

4.5x redundancy topped at 25x? That math doesn't add up, buddy.
