Why do girls always say they want to find an “honest person,” but end up with “scumbags” instead?
An honest person (the fish) tells you: Be sincere, stay true to your principles, work hard to earn money for her; respond to everything, follow through on every detail. As long as you are loyal enough, open your heart to her, she will naturally be touched and stay with you.
The “scumbag” (the fisherman)’s tactics are much more direct: build a high-value image, manipulate emotional fluctuations, create push-and-pull dynamics. Either be handsome, rich, or bad. If that’s not possible, act like a hunter who could leave at any moment.
Honest people post online criticizing “scumbags” for being irresponsible and playing with feelings, so now the online voices are full of accusations against scumbags.
If you search for how to get out of singlehood, all you find are guides telling you to be sincere and to give your all.
So here’s the question: if you truly want to gain the right to choose a partner, whose advice should you listen to?
