Community moderators are raising an important point—their work is harder than most people realize. They're pushing back against the lack of recognition, arguing their roles should carry the same weight and respect as content creators and influencers. The stress is real. Managing large communities involves dealing with conflicts, enforcing rules, handling difficult users, and maintaining order 24/7. It's emotional labor that often goes unnoticed.

Yet here's the reality: without these moderators working behind the scenes, most online communities would collapse into chaos. They're the backbone keeping discussions civil and organized. When you think about it, they're doing professional-level work while most operate as volunteers. The question isn't whether they're exaggerating—it's whether we as community members actually appreciate what they do.

NGL administrators really work hard for little reward; cleaning up 24/7 goes unnoticed.

Really? Those free volunteer mods truly deserve to be recognized... dealing with all the mess every day, and still getting yelled at. Who would want that? --- The mod position, to be honest, is thankless work. Fans only see the glamorous side of the creators. --- 24/7 on call for deleting posts and muting users—this job is not for humans... and no salary either. --- Anyway, only when the community explodes do people realize how important mods are. Usually, they’re just invisible, and I laugh. --- This is the reality, isn’t it? The hardest jobs are the least cared for. That’s how the internet is. --- Volunteer mods do the same work as full-time staff. Why? That’s unfair.

Really, those moderators stay online in the community 24/7, and there's not even a thank you... This is outrageous.

NGL moderators really deserve to be recognized. Doing exhausting and thankless work, managing the community 24/7—what kind of thing is that... --- I bet 5 bucks that most people don’t realize how tired moderators are, dealing with fights, deleting posts, muting users every day, and still getting criticized. It’s really f***ed up. --- If no one silently maintained order, our communities would have long turned into cesspools. But has anyone ever said thank you to the moderators? --- Volunteers are doing work at a company level, with zero pay. Is that reasonable? I mean it sincerely. --- The pressure on moderators is ridiculously high. Compared to those who sit back and enjoy the benefits, they deserve much more recognition. --- Honestly, capital always neglects those who silently maintain order and only praises traffic stars. It’s quite ironic. --- Every time I see moderators being criticized, I just don’t understand. Who is really contributing to the community?

Honestly, the work of moderators is truly underestimated. Compared to those internet celebrities who only post, they are the ones actually working. It's a miracle the community doesn't blow up every day, it's all thanks to these people cleaning up behind the scenes. We need to show some respect. The era of just clapping without getting paid should be over. The key is that most people simply don't see it. When user experience is good, it's expected; when there's a problem, they start criticizing—unbelievable. Can you imagine what it feels like to be on call 24/7? It's exhausting. This isn't volunteer work; it's exploitation.

Really, the admin's job is seriously underestimated. Working 24/7 to handle messy issues, and no one even thanks them.

Really, seeing mod delete posts and mute users every day, as if they haven't slept for 24 hours... Our users get to enjoy, while they have to endure criticism, which is indeed a bit unfair.
