In the blockchain world, there is a special chain—Dusk. From its inception, it has been solving a classic problem: how to prove compliance to regulators while maintaining complete privacy.

Imagine this scenario: a transaction occurs, with the amount and both parties' identities fully encrypted and hidden, yet instantly providing regulators with a clear proof that "everything is fine and compliant." This is not science fiction but a practical application of zero-knowledge proofs. Dusk integrates the PLONK system directly into the Layer 1 infrastructure, making privacy an inherent part of the protocol rather than an add-on feature.

Architectural design is crucial. DuskDS handles settlement and private transactions, ensuring finality that is both fast and secure; DuskEVM is compatible with Solidity, allowing developers to write privacy-enabled smart contracts using familiar tools; the entire system adopts a modular design, enabling institutions to operate confidently whether it’s compliant DeFi or RWA assets on-chain—no more worries about competitors gaining access to their business data and transaction details.

Selective disclosure is a key innovation. Users can proactively reveal relevant information when proof of compliance is needed, while keeping everything confidential at other times. Compliant with MiCA standards and aligned with the EU regulatory framework, Dusk is clearly tailored for institutional-grade finance.

The DUSK token serves as the chain’s fuel and incentive mechanism, driving network security and ecosystem development. When traditional finance and Web3 truly converge, privacy-focused public chains like Dusk will become the silent yet solid bridge.

To be honest, selective disclosure sounds good, but will its actual implementation turn into a game of cat and mouse with regulators?

I’ve never really understood zero-knowledge proofs. Can Dusk truly achieve both privacy and compliance at the same time? It seems a bit too ideal.

Zero-knowledge proofs are directly embedded into the underlying layer, which is the true pinnacle of architecture. Unlike some chains that scramble to catch up after the fact 🚀

Zero-knowledge proofs sound impressive, but how many of them are truly practical? Dusk's approach is indeed different. Wait, selective disclosure... isn't that just trying to have your cake and eat it too? Will regulators really buy into it? In the institutional finance sector, a balance between privacy and compliance is definitely needed. Traditional finance is worried about data exposure. Embedding PLONK into Layer 1 is interesting, but ecosystem development is the real challenge. Whether Dusk becomes popular depends on whether there are real project demands to follow. No matter how good the compliance story is, it still depends on whether MiCA will deliver once it is implemented.
