Gate has officially launched Soft Staking, a product that allows users to earn staking rewards on designated tokens held in their spot accounts after quick activation. With no lock-up required, the assets remain flexible and available.

Daily Rewards = Average Holding in Soft Staking × APR / 365
Reward distribution
The system will start taking snapshots of eligible tokens at 00:00 (UTC) the day after activation to calculate average holdings, and the reward will be credited to your spot account two days after activation.

How to activate Soft Staking?
Activate it in your spot account (Web)
Enter your spot account and click the [Soft Staking] below the currency. The button will turn green, indicating the feature is enabled.
Activate it on the Soft Staking page (Web)
Enter the Earn page, select Soft Staking, and click Activate.
Notes:
- To be eligible to receive Soft Staking rewards, the spot balance must meet a minimum holding requirement. There is also a cap on the holding amount; any exceeding amount will not generate rewards. For more details, please visit Soft Staking page.
- The Soft Staking APR may change daily and will be adjusted based on market conditions and other factors to ensure stable and competitive returns.
- The first reward will be credited to the user's spot account two days after activation (between 00:00–08:00 UTC), followed by daily distributions. While payouts typically occur on schedule, delays may occasionally happen due to network congestion, system processing, or other unforeseen factors.
- For best performance, we recommend upgrading your app to version V7.20.0 or above.
