The Mastercard Crypto Partner Program is a global collaboration framework for the digital asset industry, designed to connect blockchain technology with existing payment systems and accelerate the adoption of crypto payments.
Launched in March 2026, the Mastercard Crypto Partner Program aims to establish a coordinated ecosystem that brings together crypto platforms, payment service providers, and financial institutions. The program focuses on advancing the integration of blockchain with traditional payment infrastructure, with key areas, including cross-border payments, stablecoin payment networks, fiat–crypto on/off ramps, and crypto payment cards for everyday use.
Through this collaboration, Gate will leverage its capabilities in digital asset trading and infrastructure to support the development of relevant technologies and use cases. Within a compliance-focused framework, Gate will prioritize connecting on-chain payment systems with real-world financial networks, while exploring the practical use of stablecoins in cross-border settlement, B2B payments, and fund distribution.
As digital assets continue to move into the mainstream, payments are becoming a critical gateway between on-chain ecosystems and the real economy. In particular, crypto payments and stablecoin payments are gaining traction across use cases such as cross-border remittances, enterprise payments, and fund settlement, where higher efficiency, transparency, and cost optimization are required. By joining the Mastercard Crypto Partner Program, Gate will work alongside global payment networks to advance these capabilities and accelerate real-world adoption.
Currently, multiple Gate entities have obtained or completed regulatory registrations, licences, authorizations, or approvals across various jurisdictions, such as Malta, Italy, Gibraltar, and the Bahamas.
This comprehensive regulatory framework provides a solid foundation for Gate’s participation in the global payments ecosystem.
Joining the Mastercard Crypto Partner Program marks another key milestone in Gate's expansion across crypto payments and financial infrastructure.
