According to ChainCatcher, Altura's bank account holding approximately $21.88 million (1,644.6 million GBP) was temporarily frozen, blocking its planned USDT purchase via over-the-counter partners. The platform stated that the bank has placed the account under review and will contact Altura if additional documentation is required. Altura said it has no control over the situation and is awaiting the bank's further response. The platform also announced it will temporarily suspend community chat functions to concentrate resources on resolving the issue.
