According to a CoinDesk poll of 1,000 U.S. registered voters, only 1% list cryptocurrency as the top issue for the 2026 midterm elections, ranking near the bottom of all concerns. By contrast, cost of living (36%), employment and economy (13%), and Social Security and Medicare (11%) remain voters' primary priorities.
Despite crypto's limited prominence as an election issue, approximately 40% of respondents said they would prefer to vote for candidates whose crypto views align with their own. The survey also found that 47% of voters perceive the Republican Party as more crypto-friendly compared to 14% for the Democratic Party.
