Anthropic Completes $65B Funding Round at $965B Valuation, Surpassing OpenAI on May 28

According to Anthropic's official announcement on May 28, the AI startup completed its Series H funding round raising $65 billion, led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, and Greenoaks, achieving a post-investment valuation of $965 billion. This valuation surpasses OpenAI, which reached $852 billion after completing a $122 billion funding round in March. The Series H round also included investment commitments from Blackstone, Temasek, major cloud service providers ($15 billion previously committed, including $5 billion from Amazon), and memory chip makers Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix.
