Anthropic Expands NYC Team to 1,000, Leases 466K Sq Ft Office in Manhattan's Hudson Yards

According to Beating, Anthropic has leased a 16-floor office building at 330 Hudson Street in Manhattan's Hudson Yards, planning to double its New York team to 1,000 people by year-end 2026. The new office spans approximately 466,000 square feet, a 30-fold increase from its previous 15,500 square feet.

Manhattan is experiencing a surge in AI company office leasing. Real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield data shows that in Q1 2026, Manhattan's AI industry office rentals reached 1.03 million square feet, already exceeding the entire 2025 annual total. AI's share of Manhattan's tech industry office leasing jumped from 20.9% in 2024 to 55.9% in 2026.
