Apple Agrees to Pay $250M to Settle Siri AI Lawsuit on May 5

According to Reuters, Apple agreed on May 5 to pay $250 million to settle a shareholder lawsuit in California over delayed Siri AI upgrades that were promoted for iPhones launched in late 2024. The suit, filed in 2024 by shareholder Peter Landsheft, claimed Apple advertised the features after unveiling them at its 2024 developer conference but shipped phones without them. Apple did not admit wrongdoing, and the settlement requires judge approval.
