Apple Faces $1.8M Bitcoin Wallet Lawsuit After Fake App on App Store

According to MacRumors, Apple is facing a lawsuit filed on Friday from three customers who lost a combined $1.8 million after downloading a fake Bitcoin wallet app from the App Store. The plaintiffs entered their seed phrases into the fraudulent application, allowing scammers to transfer their Bitcoin. Individual losses totaled approximately $875,000, $840,000, and $120,000, respectively, during 2025. Apple said it has removed apps impersonating Sparrow Wallet and terminated related developer accounts.
