AWS UAE Region Damaged by Middle East Conflict, Recovery Expected to Take Several Months

According to AWS official status page, the company’s ME-CENTRAL-1 region (United Arab Emirates) was damaged due to Middle East conflict on April 30 and is currently unable to reliably support customer applications.

AWS recommended customers migrate all accessible resources to other regions and restore inaccessible resources from remote backups as soon as possible. The company suspended related billing operations during the recovery period, with restoration estimated to take several months.
