Bank of America: 53% of Large-Cap Active Funds Beat Benchmarks in June, Driven by Semiconductor Rally

According to Bank of America data released on July 6, in June, 53% of large-cap actively managed funds outperformed their benchmark index. Mid-cap and small-cap active funds showed stronger performance, with 71% and 91% respectively beating their benchmarks. The bank attributed the outperformance to semiconductor stocks' strong gains in the first half of 2026, which boosted growth-style funds relative to value-style funds that held lower allocations to semiconductor equities.
