Bank of England Warns Against Fake Posts on X Depicting Farage Attacking Governor Bailey

According to Bank of England, fake posts on X falsely depicting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage attacking Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey have recently circulated, linked to fraudulent BBC news articles and a malware app called Anocturex.

Bailey stated that impersonation scams targeting central banks are rising, designed to commit "criminal exploitation and fraud" against the public, particularly vulnerable groups.
