Base v2 Snapshot Launches, Mainnet Size Reduces from 7TB to 3.2TB

According to Foresight News, Base v2 snapshot has launched, reducing mainnet snapshot size from approximately 7TB to 3.2TB and sync time from around 5 hours to about 2 hours. Base engineer Eric Liu announced the upgrade also cut pruned node size to about 1TB. GitHub released base/node v1.2.0 with Reth v2.3.0, introducing official V2 snapshot support. Node operators must update to this version and migrate databases to v2 storage before the MDBX hard deadline in mid-August.
