Bears Attack Office and Residential Area in Fukushima Prefecture, Injuring 4 on June 2

According to Jin10, on the morning of June 2, bears attacked an office facility and nearby residential area in Sasaki-no, Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, injuring 4 people.

Japan's Ministry of the Environment reported in April 2026 that from April 2025 to March 2026, a total of 238 people were attacked by bears nationwide, with 13 fatalities—both figures setting historical records.
