AMD Jumps 18% on May 6 After Raising Server CPU Growth Forecast to 35% Annually

According to Rappler.com, on May 6, Advanced Micro Devices jumped nearly 18% in pre-market trading after raising its server CPU addressable market growth forecast to more than 35% annually through 2030, up from a prior estimate of 18%. The shift reflects AMD's confidence in "inference" opportunities as AI models move from training to real-world deployment. Rival chipmakers also rallied: Intel rose 6%, Arm Holdings surged 11%, and Qualcomm gained about 4%. AMD shares have climbed approximately 66% year-to-date, outpacing Nvidia's 5% gain.
