Bitcoin Falls 8.1%, Ethereum Drops 10.2% Last Week as Inflation Pressures Weigh on Markets

According to Gate Ventures' latest weekly report, Bitcoin and Ethereum fell sharply last week amid global inflation pressures and rising energy prices. BTC declined 8.1% while ETH dropped 10.2%, with spot Bitcoin ETF recording $1 billion in net outflows. Institutional investors have accelerated their allocation toward stablecoins and on-chain financial infrastructure, with JPMorgan advancing a tokenized money market fund for stablecoin issuers and DTCC deploying Chainlink for collateral management. Investment activity remained robust with 14 funding rounds totaling $1.113 billion completed, with infrastructure projects accounting for over $1 billion of the total.
