Bitdeer Appoints Former Corsair Gaming CFO Michael Potter on May 27, Eyes $70M AI Cloud Revenue

According to The Block, on May 27, Bitdeer announced that CFO Liu Jianchun will step down at the end of June due to personal reasons and transition to chief adviser, with technology finance veteran Michael Potter taking over. Potter previously served as CFO of Corsair Gaming, leading the company's 2020 IPO, and held executive roles at Lattice Semiconductor, Honeywell, NeoPhotonics, and STATS ChipPAC.

Bitdeer is expanding from Bitcoin self-mining into AI and cloud computing infrastructure. The company's latest quarter shows annualized AI cloud revenue nearing $70 million with over 4,100 GPU deployments at 90% plus utilization. Bitdeer is evaluating the conversion of approximately 3 gigawatt mining facilities in the U.S., Norway, and Bhutan to AI cloud and cabinet hosting services.
