BlackRock's Korea ETF Hits Record $2.8B Weekly Inflows as AI Investment Surges

According to Bloomberg, BlackRock's iShares MSCI Korea ETF (EWY) received $2.8 billion in net inflows last week as of July 20, marking the highest weekly total on record. The inflow more than doubled the previous record of $1.2 billion set in February, with $800 million and $1.1 billion flowing in on July 14 and 15 respectively. Despite broader market volatility, investors maintained strong conviction in South Korean technology companies, supported by robust fundamentals and a restructured fund supply environment, according to Malcolm Dohson, head portfolio manager of BlackRock Global ETFs.
