Blue Origin Secures $10B in Funding at $130B Valuation, Bezos Commits $2B

According to New York Times DealBook, Blue Origin announced on July 8 plans to raise $10 billion at a $130 billion valuation in its first external funding round. Asset manager Coatue Management will lead the investment with $4 billion, while founder Jeff Bezos will contribute $2 billion and other institutional investors will provide the remaining $4 billion. The financing demonstrates Blue Origin's competition with SpaceX, which raised billions through its recent IPO.
