ByteDance in Talks to Buy 50,000 Chips from Iluvatar CoreX on June 15

According to Reuters, ByteDance is in talks to buy at least 50,000 AI inference chips from Iluvatar CoreX on June 15, a Shanghai-based GPU maker, as Chinese tech firms turn to domestic hardware amid US export controls. If a deal closes, Iluvatar would become ByteDance's third domestic GPU supplier after Huawei and Cambricon, with chips mostly supporting the expansion of the Doubao chatbot.
