Calais Digital Assets Deploys UBS uMINT as OES Collateral in First Institutional Use Case

According to Odaily, Calais Digital Assets became the first institutional customer to deploy UBS USD money market fund (uMINT) as off-exchange settlement (OES) collateral on Bybit. The infrastructure integration involved Bybit, ByCustody, and DigiFT, with DigiFT providing regulatory access as an authorized distributor, ByCustody offering institutional custody under Bybit's framework, and Bybit accepting the tokenized uMINT as clearing collateral.

Unlike traditional OES structures requiring idle cash deposits, Calais continues earning yield on uMINT during trading activity while maintaining required security and liquidity standards. The deployment was enabled by Bybit and DigiFT's 2025 collaboration framework and demonstrates tokenized assets moving from theoretical efficiency gains to institutional-scale application.
