Cargo Vessel Struck by Unidentified Object, Explodes in Arabian Gulf 40nm Southeast of Iraq

According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office, a cargo vessel operating in the Arabian Gulf was struck on its starboard side by an unidentified flying object approximately 40 nautical miles southeast of Umm Qasr, Iraq. The strike resulted in a large-scale explosion, the maritime authority reported.
