Catena Labs Raises $30M in Series A Led by a16z Crypto and Acrew Capital

According to Fortune, Catena Labs, founded by Circle co-founder Sean Neville, completed a $30 million Series A funding round co-led by Acrew Capital and a16z crypto, with participation from Breyer Capital, General Catalyst, and QED. The AI financial infrastructure company is building tools for AI agents to execute payments, transfers, and fund management operations.

Catena Labs has applied to the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for a New York state trust bank charter to support payment processing and customer fund custody.
