According to CCTV News, a chemical refining plant in South Korea's North Gyeongsang Province caught fire at approximately 12:36 p.m. local time on July 9. The South Korean Fire Department upgraded the response level to Level 2 at around 1:10 p.m. and is conducting full-scale extinguishing operations. No casualties have been reported so far. Local authorities issued an emergency alert to residents, warning of potential toxic gas leakage from the facility.
