China and UK Hold First Strategic Science and Technology Working Group Meeting in London on May 11

According to Caijing Data, China's Ministry of Science and Technology and the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology held the first meeting of the China-UK Strategic Science and Technology Working Group in London on May 11. The two sides established the working mechanism for the group, reviewed progress since the 11th China-UK Science and Technology Cooperation Joint Committee meeting last year, and discussed priorities for flagship challenge projects. Key discussion topics included climate change, cross-border scientific data sharing, planetary science and astronomy, and agriculture and food.
