China Launches Level-4 Geological Disaster Response in Three Provinces on July 11 Amid Heavy Rainfall Alert

According to the Emergency Management Ministry, on July 11, China launched a national Level-4 geological disaster response in Tianjin, Liaoning, and Jilin due to forecasted heavy rainfall. The China Meteorological Administration predicted that Typhoon Bavi, combined with southwest monsoon systems, will bring heavy downpours to northern China and northeast regions through July 13, with extremely heavy rainfall expected in parts of Tianjin, Liaoning, and Jilin. Following joint assessment with the Ministry of Natural Resources, authorities determined that these three regions face elevated geological hazard risks.
