China Places Certain Japanese Entities on Export Control List, Foreign Ministry Says Move Targets Militarism

According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jia'kun, China's Commerce Ministry announced today (June 29) that it will place certain Japanese entities on an export control list. The spokesman stated that the measure is "entirely justified, reasonable, and lawful," aimed at countering Japan's militarism. Guo added that the restrictions target only a small number of Japanese entities and dual-use items, and will not affect normal China-Japan economic and trade relations. Entities that comply with regulations have no reason for concern.
