On May 26, according to China's National Development and Reform Commission, the State Council unveiled the Implementation Opinion on Providing Basic Public Services at Places of Residence. The policy promotes reciprocal recognition of residence permits and conversion of residence years or accumulated points across cities, enabling migrant workers to continuously access basic public services when relocating. Residence years accumulated in previous cities can be counted toward public service eligibility in the current residence location.
