China's Domestic Gold Production Falls to 81.065 Tonnes in Q1 2026, Down 7.08% Year-on-Year

According to China Gold Association, China’s domestic gold production fell to 81.065 tonnes in the first quarter of 2026, down 7.08% year-on-year. Total gold production, including imported raw materials, reached 136.230 tonnes, down 3.27% compared to the same period last year. Gold consumption surged to 303.292 tonnes, up 4.41% year-on-year, with gold bars and coins accounting for 202.062 tonnes, up 46.40%.
