China's First-Tier Cities' Home Prices Rise 0.1% in April as Second and Third-Tier Prices Fall

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in April, first-tier cities’ new home prices rose 0.1% month-on-month. Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen each climbed 0.1% to 0.4%, while Beijing fell 0.2%. Second-tier cities’ prices dropped 0.1%, narrowing last month’s decline, while third-tier cities fell 0.3%, unchanged from March. Among China’s 70 major cities, 21 saw prices rise or remain flat, an increase of five from the previous month.
