According to China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun on May 22, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Canada from May 28 to May 30 at the invitation of Canadian Foreign Minister Karina Anand. This marks the first visit by a Chinese foreign minister to Canada in 10 years. Guo noted that China-Canada relations have achieved a turnaround and are on an upward trajectory, with both sides working to build a new-type strategic partnership. The visit aims to strengthen political mutual trust, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and properly manage differences between the two nations.
