According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun on May 21, China and Russia are deepening cooperation in energy and other sectors under the strategic guidance of both countries' leaders. When asked by Reuters about the progress of the Siberia Power 2 pipeline during Putin's visit to China this week, Guo stated that China is willing to continue strengthening practical cooperation with Russia on the basis of mutual respect and win-win cooperation.
