China's Metallurgical Coke Prices Jump 450+ Yuan Per Ton in Ninth Round, Tenth Round Starts July 6

According to price notices released by major coking enterprises in Shanxi, Shandong, and Hebei, wet coke prices will rise 50 yuan per ton and dry coke prices 55 yuan per ton, effective July 6, marking the tenth consecutive price increase this year. The previous nine rounds of increases, completed by July 1, brought cumulative gains to over 450 yuan per ton since late March. As of the ninth round, Shandong steelmakers are purchasing Grade 1 wet metallurgical coke at 1,845 yuan per ton and Grade 1 dry coke at 2,135 yuan per ton on a tax-inclusive basis.
