Chinese Consulate Warns Citizens Against Illegal Entry Into Myanmar Border Regions on June 20

According to the Chinese Consulate General in Mandalay, on June 20, multiple Chinese citizens have been detained by Myanmar police for entering restricted or prohibited areas. Some entered through Mandalay airport, while others used cross-border passes to enter Myanmar's border regions but were arrested when attempting to travel inland. The consulate reminds Chinese citizens to strictly observe Myanmar's laws and regulations, avoid restricted zones, and note that those holding cross-border passes may only stay in relevant border cities and must not proceed to inland areas.
