Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi Meets European Parliament Delegation, Reaffirms China-Europe Partnership on July 21

According to the Foreign Ministry website, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with a cross-party European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee delegation led by Chairwoman McAllister on July 21. Wang Yi emphasized that China and Europe are partners, not rivals, with deeply intertwined interests and shared positions on multilateralism, the United Nations, and free trade. He called for maintaining the partnership framework and avoiding politicization of trade issues or over-securitization of exchanges. Wang Yi proposed promoting balanced trade dynamics and long-term stable development while strengthening coordination on global affairs for world peace and prosperity.
