Citi Raises Kingboard H1 2026 Earnings Outlook as Electronic-Grade Glass Fiber ASP Doubles

According to Citi, Kingboard Group (HK:0148) may beat the bank's earnings guidance in the first half of 2026, driven by higher-than-expected average selling prices for electronic-grade glass fiber cloth. The brokerage flagged H1 earnings guidance as the next catalyst, when investors can observe the leverage effect of doubled fiber cloth prices on net profit.

Citi also expressed a more favorable outlook on Kingboard's subsidiary Kingboard Laminates (HK:1888), which specializes in copper clad laminate (CCL) production. The bank noted the parent company is unlikely to conduct further equity offerings of Kingboard Laminates shares in the near term.
