CLARITY Act Passes Senate Committee 15-9, Heading to Trump's Desk

According to House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act passed the Senate Banking Committee on May 23 with a bipartisan 15-9 vote. Emmer said he expects the legislation to eventually reach President Trump's desk. The bill aims to divide regulatory oversight between the SEC and CFTC, establishing clearer rules for classifying digital assets as securities or commodities, and setting standards for crypto exchanges and stablecoins.
