Codex Upgrades This Week: Long Conversation Navigation and Scaling Alignment Fixes

According to Beating, OpenAI's Codex released an update this week addressing long conversation navigation and interface scaling issues. The update introduces a navigation rail that allows users to hover over slot edges to preview and jump directly to nearby conversation turns, while thread scrolling now maintains browsing position automatically. Additionally, scaling alignment protections have been added to prevent misalignment of tooltips, menus, dialogs, selection bubbles, drag previews, and autocomplete elements. The update also reduces backend workload during thread switching and enables segment loading of deeper local history.
